Instructions
Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 4-5 minutes.
Remove from heat, then stir in marshmallows, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add walnuts if using.
Pour mixture into the prepared pan, spread evenly, and let cool at room temperature for 2 hours (or refrigerate for 1 hour).
Once set, cut into squares and enjoy!
